The Chemsain Sports and Recreational (S & R) Club organized a Badminton Tournament at Stapok Badminton Court on the 23rd of May 2009. The event started at 9.00 am with an opening speech by Mr. Chan whereby he gave his words of wisdom and encouragement to the participants.

The event then followed by Round Robins for Men Singles, Mix-Doubles and Men Doubles. A total of 32 participants from Kuching along with 4 participants from Subang Jaya Branch joined the event. The participants were divided into 2 groups (A & B) and each group consisted of 4 teams. 8 teams competed for the Championship and Subang Jaya Branch a.k.a GANBARO Team emerged as the Champion, followed by Team SAGUHATU as 1st Runner-up, Team GUYSKUNTOM as 2nd Runner-up and Team GANBATTE as 3rd Runner-up.

Winners were awarded with Chemsain Trophies and sports wear. However, participants did not leave empty handed. Everyone was given a souvenir as token of appreciation for their participation.
