A series of special research study was conducted on fuel residue study in clogged filter in 2020-2022.

 

This first research conducted focused on analysing the properties of fuel residue contributing to the clogging of oil filter. A few key analyses are conducted; water & volatile matter, total particulate, heavy metals, functional group and fatty acid methyl esters characterization. Sterol glucoside (SG) is identified as the major contributor on the clogging problem thus expanded study is proposed and conducted in October 2021.
